Hello! This isin the heart of Cheshire.

A big THANK YOU to my young daughter for her clever design for 'Winsford'.  I feel she has summed up the "wind in the sails", or "ripples on the water" beautifully.

Winsford Cross Shopping Centre reflects the historic link with the River Weaver by using 'sails' in their frontage design.

Winsford offers a good range of large chains and privately owned shops, as well as banks, building societies, estate agents and a post office with extended opening hours, within Martins Newsagents. There are also numerous sub post offices around the area.

You can buy electrical goods, meat, greengrocery, clothing, linens, curtaining, greeting cards, books, hire tools from a local company ... in fact most things can be found either in our shopping centre or in one of the out of town Retail Parks or other shopping areas, like the old High Street, Over Square or along Delamere Street.

Winsford Cross is a pedestrianised shopping area, parts of which are undercover where you will find chain stores like Boots, Wilkinson and Ethel Austin. There is seating and places to eat or get a drink.  Recently Winsford Cross shopping centre has undergone a transformation to it's outdoor area; it now has a brighter, cleaner and larger feel and you can find  Argos, Brantano and Asda here, along with the new multi-storey car-park.

Across the pelican crossing, outside of our shopping centre, you will find Aldi and another large, free car park.  Next door is J D Wetherspoon.

The Library is to be found in Winsford Cross Shopping Centre.

Asda is situated within Winsford Cross, whereas Morrisons, complete with it's restaurant and petrol station, is outside of town.  At the same location you can find McDonald's, and carpet and furniture stores.

Winsford also boasts one of the largest second-hand-car sales sites, Fords of Winsford, situated on the Wharton Retail Park.  Nearby is Focus DIY with it's garden centre.

NatWest and the Halifax, have a presence in Winsford Cross, among other banks, as does The Cheshire Building Society.  There are ATM machines, and public phones throughout.

Monday, Thursday and Saturday hosts Winsford market.  Stall holders and fixed sites are occupied offering a wide range of products, from haberdashery to clothes, pets products to toys or food to jewellery.  One of the best known market stalls is 'Kims Kards', a terrific place to buy wonderful, value for money, cards from, and now she has added to her range.  A new addition is a specialist party shop, in a fixed site called Occasions.

Our shopping centre is not just for shopping; exhibitions and displays are often staged, along with entertainment for children.

Every year a wonderful Christmas Grotto is featured, and a 'Lighting Ceremony' performed.  In recent years our Christmas lights have been turned on by television celebrities including stars from Brookside and Coronation Street.

At carnival time, our car parks are turned over to a fun fair and the shopping centre again contributes to the celebrations.

Car parking in Winsford is FREE, and there are plenty of car parks.
